This makes me more than a little sad.  I know different people in different parts of the country have affection for their local announcers (and there are some great ones throughout the land), but Ernie Harwell is literally the sound of my childhood...  I distinctly remember when a neighbor explained to me that he only did Tigers games.  You know how kids can get dumb ideas in their heads; I thought he went from game to game, announcing all of them.  Anyway, that's a retarded story about me and far from the point I was getting at...  Be well, Ernie!
